What this website records, and why.
Simple page counts
We record an aggregate count of visits to pages by date. We do not create a visitor profile, store an IP address in our analytics database or use advertising cookies for these counts.
Signing in
Private access and administrator sign-in are handled by the hosting platform. Essential sign-in cookies may be used to keep an authenticated session working. The site uses the administrator’s sign-in identity to protect editing and publishing tools.
External websites
News and product links take you to another website. Those sites have their own privacy and cookie policies.
Photographs
Some photographs are served by Wikimedia Commons. Your browser connects to that image provider when it loads a photo, under the provider’s own privacy policy.
Stored content
The website stores published articles, editorial drafts, source references and an editing history. Aggregate analytics are shown to the administrator for the most recent 30 days.
